For many years, we’ve had the pleasure of collaborating on a wide range of communication projects for the Municipality of Rotterdam. When the city, together with Gezond010 and Sportbedrijf Rotterdam, launched the MOVE IT campaign, the focus was clear: to encourage residents of Spangen and Bospolder-Tussendijken to get active — in a low-threshold, positive way. The communication materials had to invite participation and be highly visible in the neighborhood.
From idea to execution
Through our premium website – an online showcase featuring thousands of promotional products – the municipality could easily explore ideas and inspiration. Together, we selected eye-catching and practical items: backpacks and water bottles featuring the MOVE IT logo, produced in the recognizable brand color. We also advised on small but impactful design choices, such as omitting fine print under the logo to increase visibility. This not only enhanced the final result but also made the materials suitable for use in other districts.
We worked swiftly, delivered high-quality products, and ensured everything arrived on time and on location. The personal delivery? That was especially appreciated by the municipal team.
Visibility in the neighborhood
During local sports activities, the backpacks and bottles were handed out to participants — making MOVE IT instantly visible in the streets. Residents proudly carried their bags and bottles, and children walked around with enthusiasm. Simple, yet effective tools that brought the campaign to life.
Collaboration for impact
MOVE IT is part of a broader, multi-year health initiative in Rotterdam. By working together with local partners such as GGD Rotterdam-Rijnmond, Rotterdam Sportsupport, WMO Radar, and Rijnmond Dokters, the campaign’s reach and message are amplified.
Rolling out in Overschie
The success in Spangen and BoTu led to an expansion in the Overschie district. MOVE IT continues to grow, neighborhood by neighborhood, with the same energy and commitment. A great example of teamwork in motion!
