A business card may seem like something small, but in an international organization like Samskip, it is anything but trivial. With offices in dozens of countries and a team coordinating thousands of goods flows daily, a clear and consistent appearance is essential. That’s why Samskip approached us with a practical question: can you create a system that allows us to easily order physical business cards – for all our European colleagues?

From Story to Collaboration
Our first points of contact with Samskip came through Onze Haven, the magazine and online platform where we share stories from the maritime world. Samskip contributed several times to inspiring publications, such as the interview with Chief Commercial Officer Christina Sauter about customer-focused work in a complex logistics sector. The positive response to both the collaboration and the look and feel of Onze Haven sparked the conversation about a broader partnership.

Smart, Scalable, and Brand-Proof
Samskip had previously gone all-in on digital business cards, but found that in customer interactions and international settings, physical cards remained irreplaceable. Together we developed a tailor-made web application that enables easy, quick, and error-free ordering of business cards – fully aligned with the corporate identity. Not only for Samskip itself, but also for subsidiaries such as Nav-Tech and the Logistics division within the organization.

The web application is user-friendly, largely pre-filled, and seamlessly integrates with Samskip’s internal processes. And because everything is standardized, the corporate identity always remains consistent – whether you order from Rotterdam, Barcelona, or Riga. Our designer created the different card templates, our developer built the system, and we guided the step-by-step implementation, including demos and on-site training.

One System, Maximum Convenience
The result is a smart solution that gives Samskip control over its brand identity while reducing the workload for internal colleagues. Ordering is simple, the layout is fixed, and expanding the system to other communication tools in the future is easy. And the feedback from Samskip?
